Innovative Insurance Start-Up, Metromile, goes live with OnBase in the Hyland Cloud

Metromile, the pioneer in pay-per-mile car insurance in the U.S., has gone live with the OnBase enterprise information platform, hosted in the Hyland Cloud, to automate its claims processes and resolve claims faster. The modern-day automobile insurer which created a revolutionary new model of car insurance for low-mileage drivers, will integrate OnBase with Guidewire ClaimCenter® and Smart Communications™, combining three best-of-breed insurance solutions in the cloud.

Using the agile OnBase implementation methodology aligned with Guidewire, Metromile installed OnBase, Guidewire and Thunderhead in parallel within its claims practice. The OnBase integration for Guidewire ClaimCenter helped shorten claims processes from initial claims receipt first notice of loss (FNOL) through resolution and settlement.
