Hill County Achieves Greater Collaboration with ShareBase Cloud-Based Sharing

Hill County, Texas has extended its OnBase enterprise information platform with ShareBase by Hyland, an enterprise cloud-based sharing product. Implemented specifically for its collaboration capabilities and security, Hill County employees leverage ShareBase to enable secure access to files outside of official county buildings.

Ensuring information is secure and in the right hands is crucial for the Custodians of the Record. Historically, governing files and documents was difficult due to paper being too easily damaged or misplaced. Using ShareBase administration, approved Hill County staff and external authorized users gain access to crucial documents to review information on-the-go, increasing efficiencies across the entire county.

Multiple Hill County agencies leverage ShareBase, including:

• Authorized attorneys and paralegals at The Department of Family and Protective Services, gaining secure access to cases that they are the Attorney of Record on and allowing them to prepare files from anywhere – rather than working out of the local courthouse

• Hill County Probate Court staff use sync and share functionality to review dockets and case pleadings

• Emergency Services employees in the field leverage ShareBase to update address change requests to ensure information is accurate when 911 calls are made
